Experience ~ Breathing Earth ~ a deeply healing sound meditation with ambient wind chimes, soft bird songs and grounding music. This track features ambient outdoor and nature sound recordings collected in some of my favorite healing spaces. (Including my own peaceful backyard.)
Wind is like the nervous system of the earth – the natural flow bringing balance and health to the planet creating ocean waves, scattering seeds and animating the flowers and trees. As you experience these healing sounds allow yourself to breathe deeply – your body ecosystem thriving on deep and mindful breathing as it regulates and balances your whole being. Feel your lungs stretch out like the branches of a tree, undulating {{ in and out }} flowing easily and effortlessly through change or stress states. In harmony with nature and with your authentic self.
Try this breathing exercise for calming the nervous system – First, take a deep breath into your belly, hold for a second if that feels good, and then exhale slowly, like you are blowing through a straw. Experiment if you can make your exhale slightly longer than your inhale, as this communicates to your nervous system to move into the parasympathetic nervous system or “rest and digest” state. A few rounds of this type of deep breathing can be transforming.
